                                          Introduction

The purpose of an introduction is to gain your audience's attention and make them interested in what you have to say. An introduction also informs the reader with the basic information they'll need to understand the essay topic.

Although all parts of an essay are important, the most important is definitely the introduction. The introduction is where you either capture the reader's interest or completely lose them. That's the part of the essay that should tell the reader what's to come ahead.

When writing an essay, these are a few elements that I would exercise ;

- Good Formatting.

- Organization; Organization is a key aspect of a strong and compelling essay. It is important to organize your essay in a way that will clearly tell the readers what you are talking about.

-The Thesis; Your thesis really tests your core idea by putting it into only a couple of sentences. It helps the organization of your topic because it points the focus to what you will be talking about.

Below are three (3) sentences I would use to begin an introduction;

1. In the summer of 2015, Jasmine Cooler was 16 years into a life sentence, and she had finally found a way to occupy her time.

2. What do you get when you combine a classic psychology experiment with the search for extraterrestrial intelligence?

3. “She thinks we were all killed when they made the Great Sweep, but I escaped in the mud.”
